About Pet Pals
Brenda Mendez is the lead groomer and owner of Pet Pals Grooming Salon. She's been professionally grooming pets for thirty years and is doing the work she loves.
​After working in a veterinary clinic, she realized what she enjoyed most was making dogs and cats look and feel better. In 1993, she completed an accredited grooming course and has since worked in several grooming salons, pet boutiques and doggy-daycares. In 2013, she obtained the title of Certified Master Cat Groomer through the Professional Cat Groomers Association of America. In 2022, she recertified through the International Professional Groomers Association and is working to become a certifier for others through that organization.
Brenda is also a pet CPR and first aid instructor with Pet Tech and is available to teach hands-on classes to groups.
​As she does what she loves, she's transformed a portion of her home into a grooming salon, offering grooming with a family feel, which can help put many pets at ease with a sometimes-stressful process.
Pet Pals Grooming Salon is a family-owned business. And has specialized in cat grooming since 2005 and added bunny grooms to our schedule in 2022.
Brenda and her husband live in Racine, WI, have three daughters and two granddaughters. Everyone in the family is experienced and knowledgeable in pet care and handling and takes seriously the care your pet deserves.
